BOOKS

Hi guys, this is my 4th blog post so hope it
is one of the best among the four.
I believe although many of us do not really l
ike to read books, however there would always be a certain
type of book which we sincerely enjoy. Therefore,
I would like to share to you guys about the type of
books I like to read. I think if you guys had read
the previous posts, I had lightly touched upon
what kind of books, which is Chinese books
related to china’s history. In Chinese, it would
normally be called “中国历史书”. I can
understand that a lot of people really hate this
kind of books as they feel it is boring and it is
a waste of time, including many of my friends,
but luckily I can tell you with confidence that I
don’t care what other people feels about me
reading Chinese books because this is my
passion and no one can stop me from doing
what I enjoy J You guys may ask, why would
I like to read such books? Well to be honest,
I don’t know the reason either but hey, do you
have an explanation to why do you like that
certain food? I guess not either. Anyways,
this hobby which I enjoy so much I believe
will help me in both my character building and studies.

However, there is this certain book which I like
the most. This is the book which first introduced
me into the world of china’s history. This book is
none other then “三国演义”,  Romance Of
The Three Kingdoms. There are many famous
scenes and chapters in this book. Each time I
read a different version of this book, I “温故知新”
which means remembering what happened, and
learning something new. However, my favorite
scene of all is where 2 geniuses fight to the death.
A Chinese idiom is also derived from this scene.
It is “既生瑜,何生亮” which actually means
since heaven has already given the world the
genius zhou yu, why does heaven want zhuge
liang to be born into this world, who is much
smarter than zhou yu. In the end, zhou yu dies
as he already had a wound and after zhuge liang r
epeatedly angering him, his wound split open,
resulting in him literally dying from anger.
